Trash

Trash is picked up every Tuesday. All trash containers must be placed at the curb the night before as we do not know what route the driver will take and be removed within 24 hours. There is a limit of one trash container for each unit. Trash Stickers can be purchased from the Borough Office for $2.00 for each additional 30 gallon trash bag. Additional trash bags must have a trash sticker to be picked up. When the regular collection day falls on a holiday, trash collection will be the following day. A. J. Blosenski will not collect demolition and building construction waste. Individual homeowners are responsible for disposal of construction waste. Do not set this waste out on bulk trash pickup day.

Yard Waste Pick-up – Curbside every Wednesday by 7:00 a.m. – Yard waste must be in yard waste bags purchased from the Borough – 10 bags for $15.00. Yard waste that can be tied and bundled will be picked up on Wednesday’s at no charge. Bundles must be able to be picked up by one person.

Bulk trash is picked up every last Tuesday of the month. Only one item is allowed and only one item will be picked up.  Bulk trash Items are items such as: washing machines, dryers, furniture – not large piles of trash. Extra bags of trash are not bulk.  Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic.

Demolition and building construction waste is not consider bulk pickup.  Individual homeowners are responsible for disposal of this construction waste. TV’s, items with freon, car parts and hazardous materials are not accepted.

Recycling

Recyclables are picked up every Wednesday. Please place your recyclables out the night before.

Please do not use plastic bags – these bags clog the processing machines. Please do not recycle anything contaminated by food, for example: pizza boxes.

For all Residential and Commercial Properties, if you have questions regarding what can and cannot be recycled in the Borough, please click on the below links with our Do and Don’t List of Recycling.  Please keep in mind:  The more you recycle the less we put in the landfill!
