Skippack Township – Finance Assistant

ZONING AND CODES ENFORCEMENT OFFICEREast Bradford Township (pop. 10,000), Chester County is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for public service to serve as our Zoning and Codes Enforcement Officer. The person in this position serves as the primary contact for inquiries and complaints related to zoning and code issues. Responsibilities include investigating, interpreting, and enforcing zoning and codes matters, as well as reviewing building and zoning permit applications for compliance with the Township Zoning Code. Additionally, the person in this role will prepare correction letters, notices of violations, and stop work orders, working closely with violators to resolve issues amicably whenever possible. The Zoning and Codes Enforcement Officer also plays a key role as a liaison to the Historical Commission, Historical Architectural Review Board, and Zoning Hearing Board. We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or its equivalent (post-high school education is preferred), along with a valid driver’s license in good standing. Prior municipal experience and a working knowledge of zoning and codes enforcement are highly desirable qualifications.  Experience with stormwater management practices is not required but would be considered a valuable asset.  An ideal candidate will be assertive and self-confident and able to handle confrontational situations, while still maintaining the empathy and communication skills needed to build trust and long-term working relationships. The position also demands someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and thorough. PUBLIC WORKS LABORER.  East Bradford Township is seeking a full-time laborer for its Public Works Department.  Pennsylvania CDL license Class B and ability to operate most equipment desired.   Physical work required including mowing, patching, and digging.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move weights of 50 lbs or more.  Must be available during emergencies and on-call approximately 8 weekends per year, including some holiday weekends.
